Gender update limit reached.

My father in-laws' gender was wrongly updated during the last update (for mobile number).

Updation of gender failed due to limit reached.

He has been asked to approach (send update failure receipt copy) and supporting docs to RO BLR.

I'm currently based in Bangalore and can visit the UIDAI RO in person.

Is it necessary to visit RO or sending the docs by mail is sufficient.

Will visiting in person speed up the process ?
